Where were you born?
Jacksonville, FL

Do you have a college degree?
Yes, BS from Jacksonville University (Graduated in 1993)

What was your field of study?
Management and Marketing

Do you have a professional registration? If yes what state?
State Certified Mechanical Contractor for the State of Florida

What attracted you to the HVAC&R industry?
Started working for his family run company, Able Products, when he was a Junior in College. He worked every day after school.

What did you do early in your career?
He split his time between being an Estimator and an Assistant Project Manager

What advice would you give to a young person entering the HVAC field?
From a contractor's perspective, treat every job as the most important job. Put everything you have into it. One bad job could affect your career and reputation for the rest of your life. Also, when problems arise, address them immediately and professionally.

How and when did you become interested in ASHRAE?
In 1995 Dick Worth, who was the current local ASHRAE President, asked in a construction meeting if I would be interested in joining ASHRAE. He even gave me an application.

What was most memorable about your year as Chapter President?
The year I was President, the Jacksonville Chapter Hosted the CRC for Region XII. It was a lot of hard work but I had a lot of help. I made a lot of good friends in other Chapters. To this day people will come to me and recall the year they met me at the CRC.

What was your greatest challenge as Chapter President?
It would have to be the CRC. I had to create a committee of people that had talent, ambition, and will to donate a lot of their personal time.

Any other comments you would like to make?
ASHRAE gave me the ability to network with a great bunch of people. I have learned over the years that people like to deal with people that they know. ASHRAE has helped get to know a lot of people.

What are other interest and/or hobbies do you have?
Golfing, Cub Scouts Club Scout Master of my son's group, quail hunting and deep sea fishing.
